Green cleaning is important to many people,
especially here in the Puget Sound area.
That’s why we’ve developed our own ServiceMaster Clean Green For® products. They are free from unwanted perfumes and VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds.)
What is Green Cleaning?
In a nutshell, it is cleaning using procedures and products that are safe for the environment. Specifically, they are made with natural, non-toxic ingredients. Also, no harmful pollutants are emitted when cleaning. That makes them better for the health of the planet and the general public.
Sometimes, green cleaning describes the way cleaning products are made, their packaging, or their distribution. Also, if the manufacturing process is environmentally friendly many consider them “green.” Further, if the products are biodegradable, we often call them “eco-friendly.”
Additionally, we have company policies that are designed to preserve human health and the planet. For example, we responsibly dispose of our waste in efforts to keep the air clean.
ServiceMaster Services is Green Seal Certified for its use of the Clean Capture and Removal Cleaning System and green cleaning products. This means our green products use non-toxic ingredients and our procedures are safe for the environment.

The Capture and Removal system is a cleaning system that uses special vacuums. First, our vacuums capture dust, dirt, and debris using a closed loop system. Then the debris inside the vacuum is transferred to a container using a Plug n Go system. In fact, our vacuums meet the requirements of the Carpet and Rug Institute to be able to capture 99.97% of particulates.
